biography
Joined 1 Commando RLI in March 1976
Initially attached to 1 troop then later attached to 4 troop.
Attained the rank Full Corporal.
Completed para course, leadership training course, troop medic course and MA3 medic course.
Attached to 3 Commando for a short period at the end of my RLI career due to my MA3 Medic qualification.
Completed my RLI career in June 1979.
Highlights of my RLI Career: too many to list "would never change those days!".
Downs of My RLI Career: loosing so many friends, KIA and dispersed throughout the world today.
After the RLI, I instructed in the BSAP as a section officer.
Highlight of this being the shortest person to serve in the BSAP - was below their regulation
acceptance height but my RLI service and qualifications allowed me in.
Joined Duly's Sinoia until I immigrated to Pietermaritzburg, South Africa in 1983.
I was relocated to Durban by the company I was employed with and continued with the development and sales of specialized forestry and sugar cane handling machinery.
In 1996 a Johannesburg based specialized flameproof company approached me to join their team, which I accepted and am currently the sales manager of this company.
I live in Norkem Park, Johannesburg.
