Sgt. Ben T. le Roux was a tough, no nonsense but with a great sense of
humour Afrikaaner serving in 3 Commando for several years. He became
custodian of the 3 Commando mascot ‘Zulu’ a golden lab retriever, a gift
from Lt. John Cronin. Sgt. Le Roux was tragically killed in a motor
vehicle accident 26 August 1979. |
