Cpl. Jannie De Beer was on Fireforce duties at Mt. Darwin . They were called out to a contact between terrorists and a Territorial unit. This vicious contact became a black day for 2 Commando. Tragically killed were Cpl. Jannie De Beer, Rfn. Hennie Potgieter, Cpl. John Coey and a Territorial Sergeant. |
