George was from California and quite Californian in style and manner
always smiling. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S.
Marine Corps. George was in the battle of Hue city. George was in RLI
Intake 156 where both these photos were taken. George was a regular in
the Monomatapa Hotel lounge where a lot of foreign volunteers hung out.
George had spotted some terrorists and turned to warn the others when he
was fatally shot. George was greatly missed by his fellow soldiers and
Rhodesian friends.
